With 3 kids under 4 we needed the protection, and hope to drive our van long enough to take our oldest to college (ambitious I know). The seat covers seem to be a medium quality felt on cloth/plastic mix so their comfortable. However, the captain chair covers on the bottom portion slide off of perfect fit if the passenger slides across the seat. It's not real bad but requires regular re-alignment.
We really like that the covers wrap all the way around both the top and the bottom - with the exception of the 3rd row bottoms. This part really surprised us and we referred to it as a "joke" because the bottom is simply supposed to Velcro to the fuzz on the underside of the seat - which didn't work at all. Neat idea but it's a no-go. We left it on and expect it to slide off completely eventually so we'll be solving that problem in the near future.
We really like how the designers made holes in the design to allow for each feature in each seat (from seat belt to child Anchor system to various pull handles) - perfectly situated - including openings for the in-seat airbags in the 2 front captain chairs (driver & passenger).
Overall, these covers have worked out very well for us for the last 5 months. I'd rather spill something on these rather than the leather.
