(More customer reviews)Okay, so the Focal's sound great.
And, I am pushing every bit of RMS power that they will take.
But, if the polk 6x9's would have fit in my car I would have gone that route.
I have the polk 6.5's in the front of my car & they blast!
Also, the polk 6x9's are rated to handle much more power.
When in doubt, get more power and don't turn it all-the-way-up RATHER than under-powering and getting distortion when you want to blast the music.
Distortion is what blows speakers more than raw power!
To me, the perfect car would have 125 to 150watt power per channel to the speakers and a 350watt subwoofer in the trunk...that's all the power you need & then some.
If you are keeping a stock stereo, don't buy a line-out converter, buy a Digital Signal Processor...the difference is HUGE...even the best line-out converters make the music muddy.

The 690 CVX is a 6 X 9 inch coaxial speaker from the Polyglass line of Focal speakers and features an innovative built-in 12db/octave audiophile crossover, which adds no mounting depth to the design. This crossover is constructed using polypropylene capacitors and air core inductors for an extremely dynamic and neutral sound. The unique Polyglass cone is made from a layer of hollow glass micro-spheres over a cellulose pulp which greatly increases the rigidity of the cone without adding weight. It has an Aluminum inverted dome tweeter on a rotating swivel mount for easy adjustments and controlled directivity.
