(More customer reviews)I consider myself an appreciator of good sound. At home and especially in my daily driver. I have owned various brands of car and home audio. In the car audio realm it has included top "Budget" brands like Alphasonic and Visonick to household names like Infinity and Pioneer. Being able to achieve quality sound has as much to do with set up and build quality. My setups are always impressive matching input power and components. Enough history.
First of all I can't believe there are no reviews of this product. I never searched for them and maybe they are a new offering at Amazon. These French design speakers are awesome. I was a big shopper at Tweeter before they went under and the sales guys always recommended them. I finally bought a set of open box V1's and was greatly impressed but they blew out for some reason and since tweeter was going under I had to deal directly with Focal USA.(They were very accommadating also) They sent me these as a replacement. They matched perfectly with my 4channel Eclipse amp at 70 wattsRMS and in my large YukonXL the soundstage was incredible. They are efficient and don't require a lot of power but believe me power brings out the best in them. The clarity and extension of treble and bass are great! They can handle bass down to 60Hz without a sweat. Now my truck came with the high end Bose setup and it blew that away. My head unit is an Alpine 9886 and I have since replaced the Eclipse with 125WPC 4ch amp pushing these Focals on the front stage. I now don't have to use the volume I did before and the detail is even better than before.
My lows are handled by Alpine type X 10's. I don't go out for boom and spl but its a sound quality system. The Focals in the front stage have the most heavenly sound. They match up well in my set up better than anything I have used.Did I mention that I had JL Audio prior to them and sorry but this is a different class of sound. They love the power and its going on two years now and they haven't missed a beat. I have always wanted Alpine components but I never tire of listening to these Focals. I am even looking for a pair for my home audio set up to complement my JBL's. The sound is addictive for all types of music especially for the street. Get some of these and Enjoy!

The 165 VRS is a 6.5 inch shallow mount 2-way speaker kit from the Polyglass VR line of Focal speakers that features a reduced mounting depth (2.2 inch) for installation in tight spaces.
