Problems encountered when installing into a 1991 MR2, turbo, manual transmission:
1)One of the screws on a mounting bracket on the left side of the air conditioning condenser (radiator) needs to have washers installed or the screw shortened to prevent it from poking into the radiator.
2)Both lower brackets of the condenser need to have the holes slotted in order to push the condenser further forward to prevent the lower condenser brackets from contacting the radiator.
3)The factory fan temperature sensor has an o-ring on the end which seals it. The hole it goes into on the factory radiator has a reduced diameter beyond the threaded portion to provide the sealing surface. The Mishimoto radiator does not have this. Using an o-ring against the temp sensor nut like Mishimoto did for the supplied plug means you can't tighten the sensor more than finger tight. I am looking at a McMaster P/N 93786A250 o-ring sealing washer or P/N 96371A209 PTFE washer to fix this.
4)The top fan mounts have threaded inserts. The factory fans also have a threaded insert so you will need to drill one out to allow the fan shroud to pull up tight against the radiator.
5)The lower fan should mounting bosses do not match the factory fan shrouds. You will need to notch a groove into the bottom of the fan shroud bracket to allow the screw to fit and then use a fender washer or fabricate a retainer to secure the fan in place.
6)The top radiator mount seats do not line up well with the top radiator brackets. You may have to slot the holes on the brackets to get them seated correctly. In my case, I could not do this because my carbon fiber hood pins are mounted to these brackets.
