(More customer reviews)Most boat trailer axles are low to the ground even with fully inflated tires. Whether or not you have a single or double axle trailer when one of the tires goes down it is almost impossible to position a "bottle" type hydraulic jack underneath to lift the axle and replace the tire. I've had two such experiences and on my last road trip to Lake Shasta when a tire blew it was an Oregon State Patrol that had a floor jack and saved the day. I couldn't get my bottle piston type jack underneathe the axle to lift and at that moment I decided to buy a floor jack. My specifications called for a jack that could lift a minimum of 2 tons and be very low profile to accomodate the low axle position and any road surface. The American Forge Low-Rider Floor Jack was the perfect match for my needs. Now it travels with me whenever I take the boat on a road trip. I will no longer worry about changing a trailer tire quickly and safely. Thanks American Forge!

I really cannot fault the heavy duty construction of this item - it looks to me like it could probably lift 6 tons (or perhaps even more) before there would even be the chance of something failing. Cheaply made jacks will all start leaking hydraulic fluid after very little use (ask me how I know this) and they will never be nearly as safe or as strong.
Solid, reliable and it does it's job fantastically well and a little extra lifting height (it lifts to 23" height and not 20" as the item listing states) really helps out when you are working on SUV's.
IMO it is worth the extra dollars for the additional safety, the quality and the reliability that you get with this jack. The peace of mind that lets you focus on exactly why you are underneath the car and not whether your cheap Chinese-made jack is about to burst an oil seal.

(More customer reviews)This jack is built quite well. Have owned it for 1 year with no problems. Use it fairly regularly. It is quite heavy duty and weighs approximately 72 Pounds. It works really well with smooth lift and release operations. Lifts my 95 Roadmaster wagon with ease. The only complaint I have and it is cited in the Jack documentation is that you must place stands under the car where the jack slowly drifts down. I will drop a note to the manufacturer to verify this is proper operation. Other than that I would recommend it.

(More customer reviews)Very simple, this is a great jack. No issues with leaky cylinders, extremely well built and assembled and extremely light. You find yourself realizing the fit and finish is so good on it you try to keep it clean.
Also in terms of jacks after seeing friends with garbage Chinese made jacks, including Craftsman brand leaking and loosing lift after a year I was not going to even bother.
Got mine from E-Tools and has no problems.
If you are buying this for racing or even garage use you will not be disappointed.
My only gripe? The non removable graphics on the jack. I would prefer just the OTC logo.
