(More customer reviews)If there was ever an example of "you get what you pay for" it is the Boyo AVN701s.
On the surface the feature list seems impressive especially for the price, but once I finally had one that I could actually use, it proved to be very disappointing.
First problem, the product arrived DOA due to a bad detachable panel which would not make good contact with the main unit unless you held it with pressure from your hand.
When I sent it back for a replacement I got one that did at least power up properly. But this one was missing a complete volume button. I decided to cut my losses and just live with it.
The unit interface is less than intuitive. The MP3 display truncates the names of the tracks when the screen is deployed, and doesn't even display the filename or tag information when the screen is closed. This is a real problem to me.
Navigation within a song is a truly annoying experience.
GPS functionality was OK although I would appreciate being able to listen to audio while displaying the GPS map other than when following a guided route. GPS will not maintain correct time.
Bluetooth worked most of the time, but would not access my phones contacts, which is annoying.
A plain old "scan" for the radio would have been nice.
In summary I was thoroughly disappointed with both the product manufacturer and the retailer.
If you standards are low...take a chance, however they will never get another dime of my money.
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

EQX - AudioControl Pre-Amp Equalizer/Crossover Review

(More customer reviews)Although the JL Audio Clean Sweep flattened out the output from my GM
factory head unit, it's not designed to match the system output to the
vehicle (in this case, a 2005 Tahoe). The EQX is in the chain right after the
Clean Sweep and replaced a cheaper (in every way) graphic EQ with
crossover which did not have enough fine control over the lower ranges to
fix problems in a large vehicle where the ambient noise is pretty low
frequency. The 1/2 octave control points for the low frequency output did
the trick. I only wish that there were 1/2 octave intervals for the high-pass
end, as well - but it still does a very nice job. I have (and highly recommend) a 1/3 octave RTA with reference mic and used this to "pink" the system. The only music source I listen to is my beloved Kenwood Music Keg (with lossless FLAC files). The EQX, coupled with a four-channel amp for the
doors (Polk Audio) and a two-channel amp for the JL Audio center console
sub, comes much closer to the audiophile sound desired. This unit is
expensive and on-line dealers are not over-abundant, but it is an excellent
piece of equipment. NOTE - A NUMBER OF THE NON-AMAZON DEALERS LISTING THIS PRODUCT HAVE VERY POOR RATINGS AND REVIEWS ON [...].

(More customer reviews)this amp packs a punch! my birth sheet included with the amp said it pushed 932 watts at 2ohms bridged! that is ridiculous for being only rated at 300w. only gripe is the size, but an amp that pushes that much power needs proper cooling, so no complaints! definitely recommended it is one of the only 2 channel amps that is stable at 2ohms bridged (for dual coil subs)

Jensen VM9423 Double DIN 6.5 Touchscreen Multimedia System Review

(More customer reviews)I was drawn by the low price tag with the features packed into this unit. Once I installed this unit, the unit would not load a DVD/CD. So, did a little research to try to diagnose the problem and discovered that Jensen isn't that great of a brand. Couldn't get the DVD/CD to work, so I return the item. If you decide to buy the unit, one thing that you should do is add about a half inch or so to the depth of the unit. The unit has about 18 wires hardwired into the back left. In order to not bend the wires, it would be wise to ensure that there is more clearance for these wires. The installation manual is available at Jensen's web site so you can see what I'm talking about.

From 300 watts up to a ridiculous 2,500-plus watts, KICKER makes selections available for what it does best... bass. Hiding under an efficient heat sink, ZX sub amps offer a 24dB/octave low-pass electronic crossover and a 24dB/octave subsonic filter fixed at 25 hertz. All have up to 18 decibels of boost centered at 40 hertz, and all come with remote bass control. Optional endcaps are available for all ZX amplifier models.
