(More customer reviews)great bike rack that is very well built, only complaint is the holders are so big it's hard to get most female bikes to fit, I had to modify the outer holder for my wifes bike and am having a hard time finding a bike for my seven year old that will fit.

Yakima Flipside 4 Bike Rack Review

(More customer reviews)This bike rack is finished very nicely with very few exposed nuts and bolts. It comes with anti-sway supports that fold down and attach to the vertical seat post tube on your bike and keep the bike from rocking back and forth while traveling.
It is also very well built but it has a few flaws that are worth mentioning. The integrated locking cable would be handy but it was VERY difficult to stuff back into its storage compartment (located in the vertical support arm) but your mileage may vary. The cable felt like it was longer than its storage space so much pushing and twisting was needed to put it back.
The rack is also very large and VERY heavy, much more so than would appear in the pictures. This could make it a bit awkward to install on your vehicle but it should be very sturdy because it uses a threaded bolt to attach itself to the hitch.
I also noticed that the provided lock for the hitch bolt wouldn't engage if the safety pin was in place. It works fine without the pin but installing the cotter pin doesn't provide enough surface for the lock to grip onto apparently. This could just be a flaw with the one I had so you might have better luck.
I never actually tested this rack with a bike because I wasn't able to install it on my car. The part that goes into the receiver hitch was too long for the hitch on my Honda so the locking bolt holes wouldn't line up. The Thule Ridgeline appears to be very similar to this model (and hopefully has a shorter hitch mount =).

The classic shuttle problemyou can take four bikes to the trailhead, but you can't get in to the back of your SUV. This is not the case with the folding Yakima Flipside 4 Bike Rack. Once you unload this Yakima rack, you can fold it 90-degrees to the right and get into the back of your rig. The Flipside's support bars also fold out of the way when you're not driving around without a bunch of bikes on the back. Yakima didn't stop there either. WARN 68490 Rear Bumper Review

(More customer reviews)Pros: quality welds, good looks. heavy duty, solid mounting brackets (a lot better than the stock Toyota mounting pattern). Nice WARN logo cutouts in bumpper.
Cons: packaged in THICK cardboard box, however the contents are not padded well so the bumper moves around in the box. Mine was received with fine scratches all over the corners and edges from rubbing on the cardboard. Would be perfect if it was in a custom moulded insert of some sort. Mine is for utilitarian purposes so it was ok. Could not be used on a show truck in the received condition.
Suggestions: would be great if a Class III 2" receiver was incorporated into the bumper.

Swagman XP Fold Down 5-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (2-Inch Receiver) Review

(More customer reviews)I needed a 5 bicycle rack that could handle all our family bikes, including our 3 children's (5, 7 and 10 yrs. old) for our yearly vacation. This one seemed to be pretty versatile, not requiring additional bars for most bikes.
While it took some work to make all bikes fit just right (especially the little ones), we made the 4 hour trip to the mountains just fine; no excessive movement (though it does sway a little), no damage to the bicycles (I used pipe insulating foam tube pieces in a couple of spots where bikes rubbed each other) and an overall uneventful trip, even on some not-so-smooth roads. Getting the kids' bikes on was kinda tricky (the littlest one had to travel upside down!) but it worked out fine--I don't think it would have been so with some of the other 2-bar models.
However, if I had to load all 5 bikes on a regular basis I'd probably be looking for a different option. Also, something this rack (and most others too) could use is some kind of reflective finish on the end of the tube... can never be too safe!
